The after school club is situated in a large multi functional hall, allowing the children the space to move around freely. The children are collected from school from 3.00pm. They return back to the centre for a light tea (please see our menus tab). We ensure we promote the five a day principles of Healthy eating at all times. We cater for all dietary and cultural requirements. All our snacks are prepared with fresh whole some ingredients. We have in place a three week menu rota.
We feel that this is a time for the children to unwind after school, we are therefore very conscious that the children do activities that they want, ensuring that they are fun and stimulating. The staff support children doing homework if required, there are a number of construction, imaginary, physical and creative activities for the children to participate in. There is also a cosy area set up for the children to look at books or just to relax.
The children also have access to our nursery garden, where they have some fresh air and run off some of their energy.
