Our holiday scheme is for children aged from 3 years to 12 years of age. The holiday scheme is situated in a large multi functional hall, allowing the children the space to move around freely. We are conscious of this being their time to have fun and therefore encourage the children to decide on the activities that they wish to do.
The staff set up a variety of activities in the morning and change to the children’s wishes when necessary.
The children bring a packed tea and snack. They have their snack at 10am and their packed tea at 3.30pm. At midday they have a cooked nutritional meal prepared by our in house cook. We ensure we promote the five a day principles of Healthy eating at all times. We cater for all dietary and cultural requirements. All our meals are cooked with fresh whole some ingredients.
The Hall is separated into different areas. There is space for construction play, physical play, imaginary play and creative play. There is also a cosy area for the children to read books or just relax.
We also have themed sessions; this may include a cinema afternoon where the children watch a film and have popcorn, a sports day, fun days, tropical beach party where the food is prepared by the children and Easter activity day days which includes an Easter egg hunt. We do not insist that the children participate in these activities; it is always the choice of the child. If they do not wish to take part other activities are provided.
