What We Offer

Up-to date information and advice with short interviews on careers, education and training options, help with C.V construction, application form filling and interview techniques. This information is available both on computer database and in CAP's reference library and on public display.

Services are free of charge to residents 20 years and above, living or working in Sandwell.

What You Can Excpect From Us

  • An informal warm friendly environment.
  • An impartial unbiased advice/ interview/ maintaining confidentially (within 3 working days).
  • Any information given to third party consent is sought from the client.
  • Written summary of any discussions throughout interviewing process.
  • If we cannot provide you with the information and support you need we will refer and signpost you to someone who can.
  • Qualified and experienced staff (NVQ Guidance 3) who will provide help for your specific individual needs.
  • Equal access, regardless of social class, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender and ethnicity.
  • Clients will be made aware of the statement of the service during the interview process. Copies can be obtained if requested.
  • Wheel chair access.

What We Expect From You

  • Think about your ideas and what questions you may wish to ask.
  • To be clear and honest as possible during the interview process.
  • If you cannot attend any arranged interview, you must give appropriate notice.

Quality Standards

So that CAP can monitor, review and evaluate the quality of service we provide, we ask clients to complete an anonymous questionnaire. Any comments can be placed within our suggestion box and any complaints can be recorded on a complaints form. All users have the rights to see the complaints policy. With regards to complaints you will receive a response within seven working days. If you are not happy with the results, you may approach CAP's Board of Directors.
